Mother\u2019s Day is just around the corner on May 14, 2023. There\u2019s no better time for moms to feel love, support, and appreciation all around. While breakfast in bed, a homemade card, or a few hours of rest and relaxation are always welcomed by moms on this day, simple words of appreciation can go a long way.<\/p>\n\n\n

We asked our au pairs<\/a> to share some heartfelt words so we could shout it from the internet “rooftops” just how much our host moms are appreciated by our au pairs from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But don\u2019t worry! Au pairs won\u2019t just tell<\/em> you how much they appreciate you. They\u2019ll show you too! Ana Karen is planning to cook some delicious Mexican food for her host mom. Elena will buy flowers and a special card to celebrate her host mom. And Adriana\u2019s thoughtfulness will be shown through delivering one of her host mom\u2019s favorite cakes and a mug to add to her collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a host mom<\/a> is a role you may not always think of as being truly impactful, but you are changing someone\u2019s life and helping them grow each and every day. Colombian au pair, Valentina, says, “She (my host mom) has taught me to live with peace of mind, thinking that everything will always be fine.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au pair Karina tells us she has learned how to be \u201ca strong, successful, powerful and kind woman\u201d from her host mom. And CJ, from South Africa, is grateful to have learned \u201cHow to make roti and Indian chai tea\u201d from his host mom. Hey, practical life skills are just as important sometimes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
